'CONCERTS ON THE GREEN' SERIES STARTING IN NAZARETH

"Concerts on the Green," a new summer series, begins Tuesday with a performance by the Nazareth Community Band and the Moravian College Brass Quintet on the lawn of the Whitfield House, 214 E. Center St., Nazareth.

The series is sponsored by the Moravian Historical Society and Moravian Hall Square retirement community. For all concerts, grounds open at 6 p.m. and pre-concert entertainment (in this case, the Moravian College Brass Quintet) begins at 6:15 p.m. Rain date is Thursday.

Other concerts include the Big Band Ambassadors with the Ethereal Trio June 21 on the grounds of Moravian Hall Square, and Ray Owen performing classic American songs and humor, with pre-concert entertainment by Professor Frederico, July 19 at the Whitfield House (rain date July 21).

Bring lawn chairs, blankets and food.
