AROUND BETHLEHEM LOGO - BETHLEHEM ARTIST FRED BEES WILL PRESENT A GALLERY TALK AT THE WHITEFIELD HOUSE IN NAZARETH AT 10 A.M. MARCH 19. THE TALK IS IN CONJUNCTION WITH A SPECIAL EXHIBIT AT THE MUSEUM CALLED "WATERWORKS: FRED BEES WATERCOLORS OF MORAVIAN BETHLEHEM." THE PUBLIC IS INVITED.

Bees will tell some of the stories behind the paintings and comment on the works. He also will be available for questions and autographs. A final gallery talk will be given at 2 p.m. April 11.

The exhibit includes more than 50 pieces, including several early pencil sketches, oil paintings, pen and ink drawings and the watercolors for which he is best known. Organized by the Moravian Historical Society, the exhibit focuses on his paintings of buildings in historic Bethlehem, including Central Moravian Church, the Old Chapel, the Gemein Haus, and other buildings along Church Street and in the 18th-century industrial quarter.

The Whitefield House is at 214 E. Center St. (Route 191), Nazareth. Museum hours are 1 to 4 p.m. daily; closed April 2-4 for Easter. Admission is $3 for adults and $1 for children. The exhibit continues through April 11.

Carl Albarelli has been named an AARP Chapter Specialist and will join 2,500 others who serve as volunteer leaders throughout the commonwealth.

Albarelli will organize, maintain and work to enhance existing AARP chapters. He will also work to ensure that chapters maintain an active role in AARP activities and provide services in their communities.

AARP is the nation's leading organization for those 50 and older, serving their needs through information, education, advocacy and community services that are provided through the local chapters and with the help of volunteers.
